Permanent Split Capacitor Motor
The AFG PRO-3.0 advanced attic gable fan includes our standard efficiency permanent split capacitor motor. Known as a “PSC” motor, this motor offers above-average efficiency with enormous value and performance. In fact, the AFG PRO-3.0 is the most powerful residential attic fan on the market today. It moves up to 3x the amount of airflow of a traditional attic fan at up to 1.6x better efficiency.
Electronically Commutated AC/DC Brushless Motor
The AFG ES-1500 advanced attic gable fan includes our ultra-high efficiency electronically commutated AC/DC brushless motor. Known as an “ECM” motor, this motor offers ultra-high efficiency with a very high CFM/Watt ratio. In fact, the AFG ES-1500 is the most energy efficient attic fan on the California Energy Commission’s Appliance Efficiency Database. The AFG ES-1500 is up to 15x more efficient than a traditional attic fan.
